Somehow or Other, It Came Just the Same!

I waited patiently for Santa to come...

And chewed my knuckles in anticipation...

And finally he came! He brought me a Bumbo!

And some books and some clothes...

Too much excitement for one day, I'm tuckered!

Grandpa Crosbie

I made an unexpected trip to Utah this weekend after learning that my grandpa, Ervin Robert Crosbie, Jr., had passed away at his home in River Heights at 87. It was difficult to say goodbye to Grandpa, but I left with a feeling of peace after the wonderful funeral service that celebrated his life, and included military honors for his service in the Marines during World War II and a bagpiper to commemorate his Scottish heritage. It was the first time in a long while that all the Crosbie cousins were able to get together. I feel blessed to be one of Grandpa's 23 grandchildren, and grateful that Austin, the 24th great-grandchild, inherited his blue eyes. We will miss you, Grandpa.
